Who we are

EkklesiaApp is church management software provided by EkklesiaApp Inc. ("we"). Churches use it to keep their directory, giving records, attendance and children's check-in. Each church ("the church") controls the information it puts in; we store and process it on the church's behalf.

Information we handle

  • Account details for church staff and volunteers: name, email address and password (stored securely by our login provider, never readable by us).
  • Directory information the church enters: names, contact details, addresses, birthdays, family relationships and membership status.
  • Giving records the church enters: amounts, dates and how gifts were made. We never store full card or bank numbers.
  • Children's check-in information: names, birthdays, classrooms, allergies and care notes, and which adults may pick them up.
  • Basic technical information needed to run the service securely, such as sign-in times and error reports.

Children's information

Children's details are entered by the church or by a parent or guardian at a check-in tablet. We do not collect information directly from children. Allergy and care notes are visible only to the church's staff and volunteers who run check-in, not to other members.

How information is used

Only to provide the service to the church: showing the directory to authorized staff, printing name tags, preparing giving statements, and similar. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who can see it

Each church's information is kept separate from every other church's. Within a church, what someone can see depends on the role the church gives them. For example, only finance roles and administrators can see giving, and members can see only their own family and their own giving.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to run the service, under agreements that protect your information:

  • Supabase: database and sign-in
  • Stripe: subscription payments and online giving
  • Resend: sending invitations, account emails and church emails
  • Twilio: text messages (only if a church turns texting on)
  • Cloudflare: running the application

Keeping and deleting information

We keep information while the church's account is active. A church can download its data at any time and can ask us to delete its account, after which its information is removed within [30] days, except where the law requires us to keep records longer. A permanent change log of giving and team changes is kept for accountability.

Your choices and rights

To see, correct or delete information about you, contact your church first, since it manages your record. You can also contact us at support@ekklesiaapp.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or state privacy laws.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit, access is limited by role, and each church's data is isolated at the database level. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and remember display settings such as text size. No tracking or advertising cookies.
